Direct Accounts Assistant
Reporting to: Direct Accounts Supervisor
Location/ Based: Portlaoise (some working from home will be available as part of our
return to the office post Covid-19 and future hybrid working model)

Jones Oil, two lubricant businesses, and the establishment of the Certa pay @ pump network.
Due to recent growth and expansion, we are seeking a highly organised and driven Direct Accounts
Assistant to join our Direct Accounts team.
Main Purpose of the Role:
To reconcile cash payments against sales orders and stock counts on a daily basis in an accurate and
timely manner.
Responsibilities:
• Assist the Direct Accounts Supervisor in preparation of Depot & Vehicle stock reconciliations
• Open driver’s bags, count and confirm driver’s payments
• Cash reconciliations/lodgments
• Agree vehicle reconciliations, stock, cash and receipting
• Generate, confirm and print invoices
• Any other administrative duties as required

Education/ Skills/ Experience/ required:
• Minimum Leaving Certificate qualification; relevant accounting qualification a distinct
advantage
• Previous accounts experience; experience in reconciling payments and/or stocks a distinct
advantage
• Excellent computer literacy with proficiency in MS Word & Excel
• Ability to work methodically with strong organisational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Ability to work on an individual basis and part of a team
